Listening to sand in the desert

I’m George Vlad, passionate sound designer, recordist and composer. I’m fascinated by sounds that aren’t readily accessible and I travel the world so I can capture and reproduce them.

I’ve had the privilege to work on many exciting projects, from blockbuster movies (Dune part II and Mufasa the Lion King) to AAA games (Horizon Forbidden West) and tech products (Google Pixel 9 devices). My sounds can be heard in a multitude of media, including Planet Earth III, House of the Dragon, Fire of Love, Audible Sleepcast, Antarctica Unearthed and many others. I’ve been nominated for a Bafta and won a MASA award for my work on Horizon Forbidden West along the Guerrilla Amsterdam team.
